The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. The role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join us in supporting our post-purchase experience and international expansion. Design serves a vital role at Affirm: from building narratives through data to creating products that help people make important financial decisions. As a designer, you are responsible for crafting experiences that build trust, confidence and deliver on our principles of honest, transparent financial products.
We’re at a critical inflection point in Affirm’s journey, with millions of people engaging with our products and new opportunities to expand how they use Affirm every day. We’re also growing globally, reaching new customers in new geographies every day.
This Product Designer will help shape our post-purchase experiences, as well as building the next new geographies that Affirm will expand into. You can demonstrate a breadth of design experience leveraging your ability to create delightful experiences that simplify our customers’ payment management experience through Affirm as well as contributing to our wider international expansion strategy. You’ll partner well with design leadership, design research, and content design. You’ll work end-to-end, from contributing towards Design and Product vision to delivering class leading design. You are able to work closely with Product and Engineering to tailor unique customer experiences for our merchants & consumers while ensuring cohesion to the core Affirm experience - championing our customers needs no matter where their journey starts.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end design for key initiatives within our UK and international experiences, as well as our post purchase experiences globally, across App and Web. You’ll be driving from discovery through to delivery and iteration-achieving meaningful customer and business outcomes.
Own complex flows and ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and design direction.
Partner closely with product, engineering, and data to make informed trade-offs and deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences.
Balance speed and quality, making pragmatic decisions while contributing to a cohesive product experience.
Use research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes.
Contribute to design systems and patterns, strengthening consistency and scalability across your area.
Facilitate alignment and decision-making, ensuring teams move forward with clarity.
Support and mentor other designers, helping raise the quality of work across the team.

5+ years of product design experience or equivalent practical experience.

This is a remote-first position based in the UK with the option to work from our London office for candidates who prefer an office environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Grade: L
Equity Grade: UK 5
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. In addition, employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc.
GBR base pay range per year: £101,000 - 149,000

Remote-first with flexibility built in
Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company. Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment. Some positions may occasionally require in-person work at an Affirm office, and a few are office-based due to the nature of the work. All new hires will be invited to attend an in-person onboarding experience.
