Join AFP, the international news agency, as a Technical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure, providing expertise and support for AFP's content delivery platforms and services, and assisting clients with technical onboarding and troubleshooting. You will also install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, and provide technical support to staff. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Missions
- Assurer le bon fonctionnement de l'infrastructure technique de l'agence, y compris l'installation, la configuration et la maintenance des équipements informatiques et des réseaux.
- Servir de point de contact technique clé pour les clients d'AFP, en fournissant une expertise et un soutien pour les plateformes et services de livraison de contenu d'AFP.
- Collaborer avec l'équipe informatique mondiale pour mettre en œuvre et maintenir les politiques et procédures de sécurité.
Profil recherché
* Proven experience as an IT Technician, Network Technician, Technical Engineer or similar role.* Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and telecommunications.
* An operational knowledge of video production and broadcast will be considered as a key advantage.
* Proficiency in English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese and Bahasa Melayu
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
