India is rapidly emerging as a global hub for biosimilars, biologics, CDMOs, advanced therapeutics, and pharmaceutical innovation. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence industry direction, shape market strategy, build strategic partnerships, and drive business transformation initiatives that create long-term competitive advantage.

This position sits at the intersection of science, business, and strategy, working closely with customers, industry leaders, academia, government agencies, and cross-functional Agilent teams to identify growth opportunities, execute strategic initiatives, and accelerate market adoption of Agilent's solutions.

This is a single contributor role with significant cross-functional influence and accountability for driving outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and execution discipline.

Most importantly, this is an execution-focused role. Success will be measured not by opportunities identified, but by business outcomes delivered. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution discipline, data-driven decision-making, and relentless project follow-through to ensure initiatives translate into measurable impact.

Job Description:

Drive Market Growth & Strategic Development

  • Identify emerging opportunities across biologics, biosimilars, peptides, oligonucleotides, ADCs, cell and gene therapy, and other advanced therapeutic modalities.
  • Develop and execute market development strategies that accelerate revenue growth and expand Agilent's presence across India's biopharma ecosystem.
  • Conduct continuous market intelligence gathering, including customer feedback, competitive assessments, market trends, regulatory developments, investment activities, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop robust market monitoring processes, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that enable data-driven decision making.
  • Translate market insights into actionable growth initiatives, investment recommendations, and commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the voice of the market by identifying unmet customer needs and emerging opportunities before competitors.

Lead Strategic Collaborations & Partnership Programs

  • Establish and manage strategic collaborations with leading biopharma companies, CDMOs, CROs, research institutions, universities, industry associations, government agencies, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Lead collaboration projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment of objectives, stakeholders, timelines, resources, and expected outcomes.
  • Develop collaboration roadmaps and governance structures to maximize business impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific leaders, and senior industry decision-makers.
  • Convert strategic collaborations into scalable commercial opportunities, customer references, workflow adoption programs, and long-term partnerships.

Drive Business Transformation & Commercial Innovation

  • Lead strategic business transformation initiatives that improve customer engagement, organizational effectiveness, and growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative Go-to-Market (GTM) models that improve customer coverage, workflow adoption, market penetration, and business performance.
  • Develop channel strategies, customer segmentation frameworks, territory coverage models, and resource allocation recommendations to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Build data-driven investment cases and business proposals that support new growth opportunities, organizational changes, and capability development.
  • Partner with leadership teams to design and implement transformative initiatives such as dedicated biopharma channels, workflow-led selling models, partnership ecosystems, and new commercial structures.
  • Shape future business strategies by identifying structural gaps and recommending scalable solutions that enhance customer experience and commercial effectiveness.

Lead Execution & Deliver Results

This role requires exceptional execution capability and project leadership.

  • Establish clear project objectives, KPIs, milestones, governance mechanisms, and success metrics for strategic initiatives.
  • Own project tracking and performance monitoring to ensure initiatives remain on schedule and deliver intended outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across commercial, marketing, applications, business units, and leadership teams.
  • Proactively identify risks, remove obstacles, escalate issues when necessary, and maintain momentum across complex initiatives.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable and ensure commitments are translated into action.
  • Develop executive updates and progress reviews to provide visibility into project performance and business impact.
  • Foster a culture of execution excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be known for making things happen. They will relentlessly push initiatives forward, connect strategy to execution, and ensure that projects move beyond discussion and planning into measurable results.

Enable Commercial Success

  • Support strategic account planning and opportunity development across key biopharma customers.
  • Partner with sales, applications, and marketing teams to accelerate pipeline growth and market adoption.
  • Provide market expertise and workflow insights to strengthen customer engagement strategies.
  • Champion a One Agilent approach across strategic customer accounts and growth initiatives.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
