[Infra] Senior Software Engineer – Kubernetes Platform (Bangkok Based, relocation provided)

About Agoda

At Agoda, we bridge the world through travel. Our story began in 2005, when two lifelong friends and entrepreneurs, driven by their passion for travel, launched Agoda to make it easier for everyone to explore the world.

Today, we are part of Booking Holdings [NASDAQ: BKNG], with a diverse team of over 7,000 people from 90 countries, working together in offices around the globe. Every day, we connect people to destinations and experiences, with our great deals across our millions of hotels and holiday properties, flights, and experiences worldwide.

No two days are the same at Agoda. Data and technology are at the heart of our culture, fueling our curiosity and innovation. If you’re ready to begin your best journey and help build travel for the world, join us.

Fleet Services builds and runs Agoda's Kubernetes platform: 160+ clusters, plus the platforms on top of it (GitOps, DNS, certificates, load balancing, identity, and etcd). The team sits in Bangkok, Singapore and Australia. This hire is Bangkok-based and starts in Q1 2027.

In this role you will:

• Design, build, and operate platform software in Go on Kubernetes.
• Own a part of the platform through delivery and production: controllers, automation, and GitOps.
• Work with InfraOps and the teams who run on the platform, so changes are safe to roll out and easy to use.
• At Senior: lead the design of a component, mentor other engineers, and carry production ownership without day-to-day direction.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Production software engineering experience. At Senior, you have owned a service or platform component through design, delivery, and production, and you design the solution, not only implement it.
• Go, or a similar systems language you can be productive in quickly.
• Practical Kubernetes in production: workloads, APIs, and how a cluster behaves when something breaks.
• Linux, and the habit of testing what you ship.
• Enough observability to tell whether a change is healthy: metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Clear written and spoken English, including design notes, reviews, and discussion with other teams.
• Comfortable using coding agents in day-to-day work, or able to pick that workflow up quickly. They do not replace judgment, code quality, or owning what you ship.

It's Great if You Have:

• Kubernetes past being a cluster user: controllers, operators, or CRDs.
• Cluster API, ArgoCD, or other GitOps.
• Networking, DNS, certificates, or load balancing.
• Contributing to an open-source operator or controller.
• CI/CD for infrastructure.
• Working across several teams in a large engineering organization.
