Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the process assessment domain, the Process Risk Engineer/Specialist is responsible for managing, executing, and continuously improving process risk assessment practices. This role ensures that all existing operations, installations, and projects align with the Air Liquide Group’s stringent safety standards. The successful candidate will drive risk mitigation strategies, facilitate critical safety workshops, and foster a culture of safety and knowledge-sharing across internal centers and global functions.職務内容

### Duties & Accountabilities
Risk Assessment Planning & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive annual plans for process risk assessments of existing operations and installations, ensuring alignment with the overarching program established by the Risk Manager.
Compliance & Compliance Standards: Conduct process risk assessments (PRI/PRA) and rigorously verify that all selected risk reduction and mitigation measures comply with Air Liquide Group standards.
On-Site Verification: Perform regular on-site reviews and physical verifications to evaluate the practical effectiveness of implemented risk reduction measures.
Methodology & Tool Improvement: Continuously refine, update, and improve operational tools, quantitative simulation models, and risk assessment methodologies.
Training & Mentorship: Provide professional training, guidance, and development support to employees to elevate the organization's overall process safety practices.
Global Reporting & Collaboration: Coordinate the compilation and consolidation of risk data to be reported to global functions, while actively liaising and collaborating with respective global/regional centers.
Knowledge Sharing: Participate actively in internal Communities of Practice (CoP) to capture, exchange, and institutionalize best practices.
### Measurement & KPIs
Timeliness: % of PRI/PRA performed in due time (prior to Risk Board [RB] / Executive Review Committee [ERC]).
Quality & Exhaustiveness: Quality of PRI/PRA based on the % maturity of questionnaires and the depth of related comments.
Quantitative Analysis: % of Monte Carlo computation applied for RB/ERC.
Project Engagement: Frequency of Risk Reviews conducted with Project Managers, including passing defined project gates and ensuring well-documented results.
Follow-up: Percentage of mitigation actions tracked, followed up, and successfully closed.
Risk Coverage: % of Project Risk Profile followed, specifically looking at risk coverage through quantitative simulation.
Effectiveness: Proven effectiveness of the mitigation plans and the quality/accuracy of forecasted contingencies.

## Required Qualifications and Competencies
### Background & Education
Education Level: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (A specialization or additional qualification in Risk Management is a strong plus).
Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial environment.
Industry Experience: Proven track record within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) / Plant Engineering industry (e.g., experience as a Project Engineer, or in Process Design, Detailed Design, Proposal Management, etc.).
### Language Proficiency
English: Business / Fluent level (capable of structured reporting to global management and international collaboration).
Japanese: Fluent level.
### Technical Knowledge and Know-How
Deep understanding and practical experience with process risk assessment tools and methodologies, including but not limited to:
HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study)
LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis)
QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment)
PSSR (Pre-Start-up Safety Review)
Nice to Have: Knowledge or experience related to Air Separation Units (ASU).
