Job Description
About the Role: AirAsia Move Payment Operations intern ensures seamless, secure payment processing for all bookings. Responsibilities typically include operational issue resolution and support, supporting the finance team with investigating transaction discrepancies, and supporting the product team for user acceptance tests for new payment gateways & new product launches. It is a fast-paced role bridging online travel agency (OTA) and digital travel platform, finance, and technology.
Typical day-to-day tasks in this role include:
- Investigate and Resolve Operational Issues: Investigate and resolve payment-related operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Support Payment Helpdesk on day-to-day operations.
- Operational Reconciliation and Exception Handling : Identifying and swiftly resolving discrepancies and handling payment exceptions with precision.
- System Testing: Supporting the integration of new payment gateways (e.g., Apple Pay, regional digital wallets) or testing updates to booking engine payment flows.
Interns in this department gain hands-on experience with digital travel platforms, payment gateway solutions & global distribution systems (GDS).
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Interest in payment operations, financial process flow and data interpretations.
- Skeptical in the inner workings of both data and concepts
