As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and scaling a Fleet Operations Platform to maintain thousands of compute machines and millions of customer workloads.
- Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team.
- Working on the software running on the hosts in our data centers.
- Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis.
- Developing thorough and largely automated test suites for functional and regression testing to ensure fault tolerance and error handling.
- Troubleshooting upgrade failures, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve edge cases across the hypervisor and Linux host stack.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have extensive, relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Be proficient in Python/Go for backend automation, REST APIs, and CLI scripting, with SQL database experience for state and metadata tracking.
- Possess experience designing, building, and scaling microservices architectures in production environments.
- Demonstrate your experience working with Linux based OS, Virtualization, KVM and Live Migrations.
- Demonstrate your experience with evaluating data using statistics or data
- Can effectively do troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Have the ability to discuss abstract software architectures from ideas through implementation and creatively apply domain experience to solve technical challenges.
- Be a collaborative team player who excels at joint problem-solving within an agile/Scrum environment.
