Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and modernizing critical enterprise applications while supporting the ongoing maintenance of existing systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across modern Microsoft technologies and legacy enterprise platforms, with strong hands-on expertise in C#, ASP.NET, Adobe ColdFusion (CFML), JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server. The role involves delivering new features, resolving complex production issues, and supporting the long-term modernization of enterprise applications.
The candidate will collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Support teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Stack Application Development
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications and backend services.
- Build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Ensure code quality, application performance, and maintainability through established engineering practices.
2. Legacy Application Modernization
- Work across legacy Adobe ColdFusion applications and modern .NET-based services.
- Maintain, enhance, and support existing ColdFusion applications that underpin critical business processes.
- Participate in application modernization initiatives and support migration efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve legacy application performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Integrate existing ColdFusion applications with newer .NET-based services while maintaining business continuity.
3. SQL Server & Database Optimization
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server database components.
- Write and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues affecting application functionality and performance.
- Ensure efficient data access and reliable database operations.
4. Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues across application, database, and integration layers.
- Perform debugging, technical investigations, and root-cause analysis.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support application stability across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with Support, QA, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
5. Software Quality & Engineering Best Practices
- Conduct code reviews and maintain development standards.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Follow secure coding practices and established software design principles.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, reliability, maintainability, and security requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and software quality.
6. Technical Design & Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical design decisions.
- Work closely with QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Support teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support deployments and troubleshoot issues across environments.
- Mentor junior developers on development standards, coding practices, and technical problem-solving.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using C# and ASP.NET.
- Extensive experience supporting and enhancing Adobe ColdFusion (CFML) applications.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Advanced SQL Server experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integration.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Understanding of secure coding and application security best practices.
