Allegro Tech is the technology and engineering arm behind Allegro, Poland's premier e-commerce platform and one of Europe's largest digital marketplaces. The organization designs, builds, and maintains high-load, scalable microservices architectures that support millions of daily transactions and active users. Through open-source contributions, technical publications, and industry conferences, the company actively shares its expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure with the global developer community.

About the job

Our team drives the solutions that build a modern, secure, and resilient workplace ecosystem for Allegro employees across the whole Group. As a collaborative team of Systems Engineers and Systems Administrators, we develop the digital workplace environment, powering services such as endpoint management, printing, CCTV, corporate password manager, and many more.

We oversee the management, security, and health of all endpoint devices such as macOS/Windows workstations, iOS/Android mobile devices. Our scope also covers infrastructure and internal process automation using modern scripting, managing secure remote access, and scaling our virtual workplace infrastructure. We are also constantly exploring emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, to build smarter services.

We work in close collaboration with both highly technical and business teams across the organization, participating in various projects from requirements and system design to final implementation. Our ultimate goal is to create a seamless, best-in-class digital workplace environment that empowers our employees and drives Allegro's growth.

Important things for you:

  • Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.

  • Our team is mostly based in Poznan.

What will your job involve?

  • Effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of servers, workstations, services, and core back-office IT infrastructure.

  • Ensuring global device compliance across the environment.

  • Handling incoming technical tickets and requests from clients and lower support lines, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues in a timely manner.

  • Executing and managing routine software and operating systems patching.

  • Configuring, managing, and maintaining localized physical workplace services, including e.g. CCTV infrastructure, distributed access control systems, and central printing.

  • Monitoring system availability, analyzing logs and assisting with capacity planning.

  • Preparing, expanding, and maintaining clear operational documentation, procedures, and task tracking for the team and stakeholders.

  • Participating in a 24h on-duty rotation scheme - being available via phone and computer to troubleshoot and resolve critical service issues outside regular working hours.

  • Collaborating actively with specialized internal teams, including corporate network, security, and IT support, to handle complex infrastructure requirements.

  • Assisting in key IT infrastructure migration, upgrade, and system modernization initiatives.

You'll be a great fit if you bring:

  • Strong practical knowledge administrating, configuring and troubleshooting standard operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.

  • Solid understanding of IT service management principles according to the ITIL methodology or an ITIL® 4 Foundation certification.

  • Proven experience using Active Directory alongside endpoint management tools like SCCM and WSUS.

  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts, core protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), and endpoint protection/infrastructure security standards.

  • Practical experience using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate repetitive daily workflows, alongside basic SQL database querying knowledge.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while remaining strictly aligned with SLA/KPI targets.

  • Great teamwork abilities, minimum B2 English communication skills, and an orientation toward building long-term, supportive business relationships with internal clients and vendors.

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional training combined with proven experience in a similar position.

  • Practical experience with infrastructure monitoring and metrics visualization tools

  • Practical familiarity with device enrollment concepts and workflows

  • A strong orientation toward building long-term relationships with external vendors and effectively navigating stakeholders from both technical and business branches

  • Analytical thinking skills, proactivity, and a strong drive to identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes rather than just temporary patches

  • Readiness for occasional business trips to collaborate face-to-face with specialists and teams in other company locations.

What's in it for you:

  • Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.

  • Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.

  • Well-located offices (with e.g. fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms).

  • A 16" or 14" MacBook Pro or corresponding Dell with Windows (if you don't like Macs) and all the necessary accessories.

  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers).

  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.

  • A training budget, inter-team tourism (see more here), hackathons, and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings.

  • An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people connected by a common goal.

  • Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, Advent of Code, and many other occasions we enjoy.

And that's just the beginning! You can read more about the benefits here.

#goodtobehere means that:

  • You will join a team you can count on - we work with top-class specialists who have knowledge- and experience-sharing in their DNA.

  • You will love our level of autonomy in team organization, the space for continuous development, and the opportunity to try new things. You get to choose which technology solves the problem and you are responsible for what you create.

  • You will value our Developer Experience and the full platform of tools and technologies that make creating software easier. We rely on an internal ecosystem based on self-service and widely used tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. Thanks to this, you can contribute to Allegro from your very first days on the job.

  • You will be equipped with modern AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on developing new services and refining existing ones (also leveraging AI support).

  • You will create solutions that will be used (and loved!) by your friends, family and millions of our customers.

  • You will meet the Allegro Scale, which starts with over 1000 microservices, an open-source data bus (Hermes) with 300K+ rps, a Service Mesh with 1M+ rps, tens of petabytes of data, and production-used machine learning.

  • You will become part of Allegro Tech - We speak at industry conferences, cooperate with tech communities, run our own blog (it's been over 10 years!), record podcasts, lead guilds, and we organize our own internal conference - the Allegro Tech Meeting. We create solutions we love (and can) to talk about!
