Job Description

As a Security Guard - Full Time in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor and control access to facilities, including verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in procedures, issuing access badges, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Monitor access-control systems, cameras, and other security-related equipment; report equipment issues, unusual activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, interior areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
