We collaborate with numerous insurance companies in Poland and are currently expanding our operations dynamically into international markets. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an IT Manager to join the team delivering projects for the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• have at least 5 years of experience in managing IT projects or teams, preferably in the financial or insurance sector,
• have experience in a team management role (either line management or delivery management),
• are able to combine technological, business, and organizational perspectives,
• have experience working with Agile / Scrum / Waterfall methodologies,
• are familiar with tools such as JIRA, Confluence (or similar),
• demonstratevery strong communication skills when working with clients and stakeholders,
• are able to analyze risks, make decisions, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment,
• have at least a B2 level of English proficiency,
• nice to have: experience working with international clients and/or certifications (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).

Requirements

• be responsible for the overall management of the IT team, ensuring employee motivation, competency development, and engagement,
• manage IT projects in the insurance sector from the concept and analysis phase through delivery, implementation, and further solution development,
• act as the main point of contact for clients, lead project communication, monitor business needs, manage expectations, and ensure the delivery of tangible value,
• develop relationships with assigned clients, including identifying new needs, initiatives, and revenue growth opportunities within the managed portfolio,
• support clients in shaping their development strategies and propose solutions addressing organizational and market challenges,
• act as an internal Product Owner of Altkom Software within delivered projects,
• provide the organization with insights into client structures, key decision-makers, new initiatives, and competitive activities,
• support the sales process, including preparing offers, solution concepts, and estimations,
• design, audit, and validate developed solutions - select appropriate technologies and assess feasibility and consistency of functional specifications,
• be responsible for the financial performance of projects and/or the project portfolio,
• implement and enhance best practices within the software development process, ensuring delivery quality and team efficiency,
• manage team development by planning career paths, conducting competency assessments (e.g., 360 reviews), and recommending promotions and salary increases,
• participate in recruitment processes and manage team members’ allocations and task assignments.
