IT Services Category Buyer

Job Title

As an IT Services Category Buyer, you will support the development and implementation of global category strategies across multiple IT Services contracting models, including Delivery-Based Services, Capacity-Based Services, Outsourcing, and Fixed-Price Projects. You will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize costs, and elevate procurement value across regions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Contracting

- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes (from need identification, negotiation to contract signature and saving reporting).

- Conduct RFx activities, supplier evaluations, and fact-based negotiations.

- Implement contracts in coordination with Regional Buyers and internal stakeholders.

- Coordinate with Legal and Finance teams during negotiation and contracting phases.

- Ensure contract compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

- Proactively keep pace of the purchasing process and evolution

2. Stakeholder Management & Internal Collaboration

- Build strong relationships with internal IT stakeholders.

- Promote procurement’s role by proactively engaging with internal customers and influencing sourcing decisions.

- Support business partners in defining needs and identifying alternative supply options

-Proactively organize sessions with internal customers to identify further opportunity, follow satisfaction and implement action plan when needed

3. Category Strategy Definition & Execution

- Support the Cluster Lead in defining the sourcing roadmap and prioritizing initiatives.

- Conduct internal and external analyses (market trends, supplier capabilities, industry benchmarks).

- Coordinate all steps of the sourcing lifecycle, including RFx and contract management.

- Perform market intelligence activities to identify new vendors and benchmark pricing.

4. Vendor Management & Performance Governance

- Support the classification and segmentation of suppliers in alignment with procurement strategy.

- Drive governance activities with key IT Services vendors, ensuring performance and SLA compliance.

- Contribute to the implementation of the Vendor Management framework for strategic suppliers.

- Track supplier performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead re-negotiations when needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- More than 5 years of experience in strategic technology procurement within an international environment, or an engineering/sales background complemented by relevant procurement experience.

- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracting models, negotiation principles, and contract lifecycle management.

- Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge requirements, and provide strategic alternatives.

- Proactive mindset with strong business understanding and the ability to anticipate needs.

- Experience using procurement tools (e.g., Coupa), contract management platforms, and virtual collaboration tools (SharePoint, etc.).

- Strong analytical and project-management skills, able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
