Amazon is an American technology and retail conglomerate founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It operates the world's largest online marketplace together with a global logistics network, physical grocery stores and a third-party seller platform that accounts for most units sold. Amazon Web Services, launched in 2006, is the leading public cloud provider and generates the majority of the group's operating profit, while advertising, Prime Video, Alexa devices and Kuiper satellite broadband round out the business.

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

The Network Development Manager (NDM) leads the Terrestrial Networking (TNT) team responsible for designing, building, and operating the ground-infrastructure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) backbone network that connects ground sites - Gateway (GGW) and Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) sites - to AWS. This leader owns the strategy, delivery, and operational health of terrestrial network connectivity: site network architecture, Direct Connect / backbone integration, device fleet (routing, switching, encryption), and the automation that scales it across regions. They manage a team of network development and systems-development engineers, partner across ground, control-plane, and security organizations, and are accountable for the availability, security, and capacity of the terrestrial network that carries customer and command traffic.

3. Own AWS Direct Connect (DX) and backbone integration - Direct Connect Gateways, Virtual Interfaces, Internet Protocol Address Management, and Autonomous System Number / Border Gateway Protocol routing - plus region expansion and new-site turn-up through automation.

4. Review and approve network designs, change plans, and capacity decisions.

5. Own availability, performance, and security of the terrestrial network; define Service Level Objectives, lead high-severity incident response, and drive Correction of Error follow-ups.
