Amazon is an American technology and retail conglomerate founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It operates the world's largest online marketplace together with a global logistics network, physical grocery stores and a third-party seller platform that accounts for most units sold. Amazon Web Services, launched in 2006, is the leading public cloud provider and generates the majority of the group's operating profit, while advertising, Prime Video, Alexa devices and Kuiper satellite broadband round out the business.

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. To meet the growing demand for AWS Services within the US government and air-gapped regions, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you have strong program management, IT infrastructure and/or programming experience, and can communicate highly technical concepts to audiences at different stages in the AWS journey, we’d like to speak with you.

We are looking for a dynamic, organized Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join AWS to manage AWS delivery of solutions in support of US Government customers. In this role, your primary responsibility will be supporting the delivery of technical solutions for government contracts. You will provide support and coordination responding to customer inquiries and translating customer requirements into technical requirements. You will also have the opportunity to enhance internal processes, programs and measures to drive growth and efficacy.

You will join a team of senior and principal product managers and TPMs who support our AWS government regions and contracts. The team is responsible for building and executing strategies for a delightful customer experience across multiple regions and driving business results.

As a TPM, you will have the opportunity to work closely with AWS leadership and Service Teams to sequence, report upon, and deliver services and features in government and air-gapped regions. You will collaborate and align with a specific set of AWS service teams and deliver mechanisms for services across this specified set of regions. You will collaborate with Service Teams to deliver solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies, identifying dependencies that need to be addressed within these regions. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints.

Successful candidates will have a a background working with AWS services, familiarity with their architecture, strong background in program management supporting technical programs. They must be detail oriented, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working with Public Sector customers in the Defense or National Security industries.

You will successfully represent program status to AWS senior leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and researching and developing new delivery methodologies.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
