The MENA Grocery team (UFG) is offering a role to own building new business from ground Zero. We are seeking a self-starter who can quickly familiarize themselves with this fast-paced environment, build relationships/trust with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership within the program which will require understanding of complex business/Tech/Ops processes at Amazon and our partners and devising an optimal engagement model. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, analytical talent and good document writing skills with concise communication are essential to success in this role.

In this role, You will influence internal and external stakeholders and leadership to buy in to your strategic direction, build a buying and sourcing strategy for a new category while ensuring flawless execution and continuously analyzing key metrics to drive improvements for your business.

The VM will be responsible for building relationships with vendors, adding selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and developing their team. The best candidate will have a broad skill set including leadership development, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiations skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. Key job responsibilities

This is an external-facing role that works closely with vendors to build and scale the seasonal and long-shelf-life Fresh and Frozen business. The role will have the opportunity to build Amazon Ultra-Fast Grocery (UFG) Retail capabilities from the ground up, establish scalable operating mechanisms and SOPs, and drive sustainable business growth.

* Partner with the Category Leader to identify and execute strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.

* Build strategic vendor partnerships and lead end-to-end negotiations, including commercial terms, operating models, and contracts.

* Build and manage the annual seasonal portfolio to drive selection, traffic, and customer engagement.

* Partner with global teams to adopt and localize best practices across UFG channels.

* Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to build scalable solutions and improve key business inputs, including selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.

* Own the P&L post-launch, delivering top- and bottom-line targets while partnering with Vendors, Operations, and Advertising to drive profitability improvements.

* Develop, negotiate, and close annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with strategic vendors.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.

- 5+ years of relevant experience in vendor management, account management, retail, commercial, procurement, e-commerce, or a related field.

- Proven experience managing business relationships and driving results with external partners or vendors.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities and drive business decisions.

- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, grocery, or consumer goods.

- Experience managing a portfolio of vendors and delivering growth, profitability, selection, availability, and operational performance improvements.

- Experience negotiating commercial terms, promotions, pricing, and joint business plans with vendors.

- Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other business teams.

- Experience using data and business metrics to develop strategies and influence senior stakeholders.

- Experience leading projects or process improvements that deliver scalable business impact.
