Azure Cloud Engineer

Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Terraform, and Azure DevOps. The role involves managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms, building automated CI/CD and GitOps workflows, implementing infrastructure as code, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of production workloads.
Responsibilities :
- Design, provision, manage, and maintain AKS clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, upgrades, backup/restore, and lifecycle operations.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, standardising Helm charts and deployment artifacts.
- Implement GitOps-based deployment workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
- Configure and manage Azure Application Gateway with WAF, including AGIC integration with AKS for Layer 7 routing, SSL/TLS termination, and certificate management through Azure Key Vault.
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AKS, Application Gateway, Azure Container Registry (ACR), networking, and other Azure resources.
- Establish container platform standards covering namespaces, resource quotas, Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Cluster Autoscaler, pod disruption budgets, and secure base images.
- Implement blue/green and canary deployment strategies, rollback mechanisms, and high-availability practices.
- Lead L3 troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis for AKS workloads, ingress/routing issues, deployment failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with application teams on AKS onboarding and platform adoption.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks while mentoring engineers on Kubernetes and Terraform best practices.
Requirements :
- 7+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Terraform.
- Proven experience managing AKS clusters, including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, monitoring, and production operations.
- Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Helm charts and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Experience configuring Azure Application Gateway, WAF, and AGIC for ingress management and traffic routing.
- Strong understanding of SSL/TLS, certificate management, Azure Key Vault, and cloud networking.
- Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and implementing automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture, container security, high availability, and deployment strategies.
- Experience with production incident management, L3 support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and technical mentoring skills.
