AMD

AMD is an American semiconductor company founded in 1969 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, that designs processors, graphics chips and adaptive computing hardware without owning fabrication plants. Its Ryzen and Threadripper processors and Radeon graphics serve consumers and creators, EPYC server chips have taken a large share of the data centre market from Intel, and the Instinct accelerators compete for AI training and inference workloads. The 2022 acquisition of Xilinx added field-programmable gate arrays and adaptive systems on chip, and the company also supplies the custom silicon inside the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Candidates are encouraged to have experience in the following areas:

  • Partner Leadership - Ability to serve as a key AMD interface for Cisco-related activities, helping coordinate product, business, marketing, and execution priorities.
  • Technical Understanding - Ability to work with product management and engineering teams to understand AMD server products, platform requirements, and customer value propositions.
  • Business Execution - Ability to track NRE (Non-recurring engineering funds) and marketing spend, support reporting, monitor samples, and help drive partner programs from planning through execution.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities needed to support Cisco platform launches, partner enablement, and new product introductions.
  • Represent AMD’s interests in discussions with Cisco stakeholders, including product management, platform, marketing, and business teams.
  • Provide regular updates to AMD leadership on Cisco-related business activity, sample status, marketing spend, design-win progress, and execution risks.
