AMD

AMD is an American semiconductor company founded in 1969 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, that designs processors, graphics chips and adaptive computing hardware without owning fabrication plants. Its Ryzen and Threadripper processors and Radeon graphics serve consumers and creators, EPYC server chips have taken a large share of the data centre market from Intel, and the Instinct accelerators compete for AI training and inference workloads. The 2022 acquisition of Xilinx added field-programmable gate arrays and adaptive systems on chip, and the company also supplies the custom silicon inside the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

THE ROLE

AMD is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help build the next generation of integrated marketing technology capabilities. As part of a new, collaborative software development team, you will design, build, and deliver applications, automation, and integrations that solve meaningful marketing and business problems. This is a hands-on engineering role with meaningful ownership. You will contribute to technology solutions across campaign workflows, testing, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, user experiences, and integrations with existing marketing systems.

THE PERSON

You are a strong software engineer and practical problem solver who enjoys building new products and working across the technology stack. You are comfortable taking ownership of a defined portion of a larger product or initiative, solving complex technical problems, and turning requirements into reliable production solutions. You work effectively with engineers, product and program leaders, and business partners. You are curious about emerging technologies, including AI, and understand how to apply them thoughtfully to practical problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack software applications and services.
  • Own defined components or features from technical design through production delivery.
  • Build scalable applications, automation, APIs, user experiences, and integrations supporting marketing workflows.
  • Solve complex technical problems and implement important architecture and design decisions within assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Technical Program Management, Marketing, Creative, Data, and other partner teams.
  • Translate business needs into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Apply AI and automation where they can improve workflows, capabilities, or user experiences.
  • Contribute to software quality, reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience designing, developing, and operating production software applications.
  • Strong full-stack development experience across back-end systems and user-facing applications.
  • Strong software-engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, system design, testing, and modern development practices.
  • Experience owning and delivering meaningful components or features within larger software products.
  • Experience developing applications, automation, integrations, analytics, or data-driven products.
  • Practical experience with AI/ML, automation, or AI-assisted software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Experience with MarTech, AdTech, e-commerce, creative technology, customer-facing platforms, or another integration-heavy environment is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
