American Express is a New York financial services company founded in 1850 as an express freight business that became a payments network and card issuer. Unlike the four-party networks it competes with, it issues most of its own cards and operates its own network, which lets it earn merchant discount revenue as well as interest and annual fees, and supports a premium rewards proposition built on travel and lounge access. Its business spans consumer and small business cards, corporate payments, merchant acquiring and travel services, and it is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

  • Use Bridger Insight and related data to analyze screening alert inventories, escalations, workflow status, dispositions, and SLA performance; support reconciliation and reporting across Bridger and downstream data sources.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of account, customer, transaction, and spend data in support of sanctions-related reviews and oversight activities.
  • Perform data quality and reconciliation activities to validate the completeness and accuracy of inventory and management reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance reporting and analytical processes, reducing manual effort and improving consistency and reliability.
  • Develop reporting methodologies, data definitions, and documentation to promote consistent measurement and interpretation of key sanctions metrics.
  • Partner with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop reporting or analytical solutions that address business needs.
  • Conduct root-cause and trend analysis to identify drivers of inventory changes, SLA performance, alert volumes, and other operational outcomes.
  • Support ad hoc analytical requests and data-driven investigations for Global Sanctions leadership.
