About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent, the Planning & Scheduling Team Lead leads a team responsible for developing safe, detailed maintenance plans and schedules that support asset reliability and operational performance. This role drives workforce productivity and work quality through effective planning, coordination of resources, and removal of potential execution barriers. As the CMMS subject matter expert, you will maintain system and master data integrity while collaborating closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical Services teams to deliver efficient and reliable maintenance outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee maintenance planning activities, ensuring compliance with refinery standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Drive planning consistency through quality assurance, standard work practices, and effective schedule management.

  • Coach supervisors in developing maintenance scopes, job plans, schedules, and work management processes within SAP.

  • Ensure master schedules, forecasts, and maintenance plans are maintained and accessible across operational areas.

  • Act as the CMMS subject matter expert, maintaining system integrity and delivering advanced user training in partnership with system vendors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong commitment to process and personal safety, fostering a positive safety culture.

  • Demonstrated extensive maintenance planning and scheduling experience within a CMMS environment in a major industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Extensive maintenance and reliability expertise, supported by a technical or trade-based background.

  • Proven experience leading planning teams, coordinating maintenance activities, and driving schedule performance.

  • Advanced knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems (SAP preferred), master data management, and system integrity.

  • Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, asset management principles, and planning best practices.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across functions, and deliver results in a dynamic operational environment.
