Support Engineer in France

Andersen is hiring a Support Engineer in France for a project providing onsite IT support, resolving technical issues, maintaining workplace systems, and ensuring reliable daily operations. 

The customer is an international professional services company that provides consulting and business support solutions to organizations across various industries. The company helps clients address operational challenges, improve business processes, manage risks, and support long-term growth through specialized expertise and strategic guidance. 

The project is focused on providing onsite IT support for approximately 200 users in Paris. It includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining workplace IT systems, and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations and efficient end-user support. 

Responsibilities: 

• Providing first- and second-line IT support to FTI Consulting employees across all practice areas, both onsite and remotely. 

• Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues in accordance with ITIL best practices. 

• Logging, prioritizing, managing, and resolving incidents and service requests in ServiceNow, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs. 

• Configuring, deploying, maintaining, and supporting IT-approved desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. 

• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems, business applications, and IT-supported software. 

• Supporting LAN/WAN connectivity, network services, and communication systems. 

• Providing technical assistance with audio/video conferencing and office collaboration equipment. 

• Managing onsite IT operations, including workstation setups, office relocations, and equipment installations. 

• Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, access management, equipment handovers, and shipments. 

• Maintaining accurate IT asset inventories and tracking laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and other IT equipment. 

• Managing mobile service contracts, subscriptions, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and service continuity. 

• Liaising with external vendors, service providers, and systems integrators to coordinate technical support and issue resolution. 

• Developing, documenting, and improving IT support processes, procedures, and technical documentation. 

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across desktop services, application administration, network operations, and end-user support. 

• Ensuring compliance with IT security standards, internal policies, and established operational procedures. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience in a mid to large enterprise company for 2+ years. 

• Minimum of 2 or more technical certification credentials like Network+ or Security+. 

• ITIL Foundations certification. 

• Excellent customer service skills. 

• Excellent communication (written & verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills. 

• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, 

• Outlook). 

• Work experience with Windows Servers, AD, Group Policy, O365 and Windows 10 operating systems. 

• Experience providing on-call support via voice and remote access tools 

• Level of English – Intermediate and above. 

• Level of French – Upper-Intermediate and above. 

Nice to haves: 

• B.S. college degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. 

• ITIL Practitioner certification. 

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. 

• Excellent knowledge of current leading-edge PC workstations hardware and software including 

• networking and communications interfaces and relationships. 

• Ability to flex working hours as required to meet business needs. 

• Availability to travel with little notice. 

• Ability to grasp fundamentals quickly and instruct others in their use. 

• Competent to work on fairly complex computer problems independently. 

• Experience with Smartphone configuration and advance support. 

• Positive attitude and self-motivated. 

• Role modeling and ability to work in a team. 

• Adaptable to changing priorities.
