Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk for an immediate, ongoing temporary position, based onsite in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and support a busy finance team during a busy period. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable invoices and post payments
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Generate and send out customer invoices and account statements
- Follow up with customers via phone and email regarding outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including creating reports in Excel
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to AR
- Perform other related administrative or accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume AR environment
- Experience working in the healthcare environment is an asset
- Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or general accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR procedures
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and VLOOKUPs) and able to work in multiple accounting systems (experience with SAP, Great Plains, Accuro is an asset)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent multitasking abilities
- Criminal background check is required
