Android Developer

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin and Java, the Android SDK, modern Android architecture components, and RESTful API integration. The candidate should be passionate about building scalable, high-performance mobile applications and delivering an excellent user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Build clean, scalable, and reusable code following Android best practices.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly mobile applications with high performance.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Work with Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room, and WorkManager.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
• Optimise application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Write unit tests and ensure application quality through testing.
• Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Excellent knowledge of Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.
• Experience with MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack components.
• Strong understanding of Jetpack Compose or XML-based UI development.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON parsing, and Retrofit.
• Hands-on experience with Room Database, SQLite, SharedPreferences, and local data storage.
• Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Experience with coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Experience with Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, FCM, and Remote Config.
• Understanding of Material Design guidelines and responsive UI development.
• Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, maps, and push notifications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with Google Play Console and application release management.
