Global PCB Manufacturing Expert

Act as Aptiv's global authority for PCB fabrication and manufacturing technologies, owning standards, process excellence, supplier quality, and technology strategy across multiple manufacturing sites worldwide. The role combines deep technical PCB expertise, operational excellence, and global stakeholder leadership.

Your Role

• Develop and release Global Design Standards for assigned technologies
• Develop and publish Process Documentation for assigned technologies
• Develop/Support Process Verification for assigned technologies
• Develop and publish training material for assigned technologies
• Provide technical support across Aptiv enterprise for assigned technologies
• Develop Strategy to advance assigned technologies
• Conduct and support Line Side Review process audits in global production locations
• Utilize project management skills to develop and implement robust process solutions
• Maintain and advance software solutions and automation for technology specific tasks (P-FMEA, Maintenance, Simulation, etc.) as a key user
• Optimize process design to support equipment utilization and material flow
• Understand and apply within Aptiv the IPC Requirements and Standards

Your Background

PCB Technology & Fabrication

• 8+ years of experience in PCB manufacturing, fabrication, or advanced manufacturing engineering
• Deep understanding of:
  • PCB fabrication processes
  • Multilayer PCB technologies
  • HDI (High Density Interconnect)
  • Surface finishes
  • Copper plating and metallization
  • Lamination processes
  • PCB materials and substrates
  • Reliability and failure mechanisms
• Strong knowledge of electronics materials, chemistry, and metallurgy.

Manufacturing Engineering

• Expertise in:
  • Process development
  • Process validation
  • Process optimization
  • Root cause analysis
  • Yield improvement
  • Scrap reduction
  • Manufacturing readiness
• Experience introducing new manufacturing technologies globally.

Quality & Industry Standards

• Advanced knowledge of:
  • IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-6012, IPC-2221, IPC-4101, etc.)
  • Automotive quality standards
  • IATF 16949
  • APQP
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans
  • MSA
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
