ARCO is a family of design-build construction companies headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, delivering distribution centers, industrial and commercial buildings, mission critical data centers, aviation facilities and tenant improvements. Founded in 1992 as a single St. Louis office, it has grown to more than 40 offices and over a thousand associates building across the United States and Canada, with a high share of repeat customers. It recruits project managers, superintendents, safety supervisors, BIM coordinators, cost managers, electrical design engineers and corporate staff.

ABOUT YOU

Help connect great people with their next opportunity.

ARCO is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our growing recruiting team. In this role, you’ll work closely with Talent Acquisition Managers to keep interviews moving, identify potential candidates, and create a positive experience for everyone involved in the hiring process.

If you’re organized, enjoy connecting with people, and want to build a career in recruiting, this role offers hands-on experience across the hiring process-with opportunities to take on recruiting responsibilities for entry-level positions as your skills develop.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Keep the interview process moving. Coordinate phone, virtual, and in-person interviews, managing schedules and ensuring candidates and interview teams have the details they need.
  • Help find great candidates. Source potential talent through online research, outreach, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
  • Support candidate screening. Review resumes against role requirements, recommend candidates for consideration, and conduct introductory phone screens as appropriate.
  • Create a positive candidate experience. Provide timely communication, answer questions, and help candidates feel prepared throughout the interview process.
  • Keep recruiting information organized. Maintain accurate records in our applicant tracking system, update job postings, and help track recruiting activity.
  • Build relationships for future hiring. Help maintain candidate pipelines and support career fairs, campus recruiting, and employee referral activities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Managers to recruit for entry-level roles, from candidate screening through the interview and selection process.
  • Contribute to team improvements. Support projects that make our recruiting processes more effective and easier to navigate.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of experience in recruiting coordination, sourcing, HR, administration, or customer service is helpful.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, especially when balancing multiple schedules and changing priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and a friendly, responsive approach to working with candidates and colleagues.
  • Initiative, follow-through, and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Comfort learning new systems and technology.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • An interest in developing your sourcing, screening, and recruiting skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
