Dev Ops Engineer - Machine Learning

Job Overview

Join the Machine Learning DevOps team and help ML software teams adopt effective DevOps practices. You will contribute to the infrastructure, automation and services that support software development, including cloud enablement and management of shared physical-device test infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work closely with engineers on technologies that help power the next generation of computing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Machine Learning software teams to understand their development and infrastructure needs and support the adoption of DevOps practices.
• Develop and maintain hybrid (Windows, Linux, MacOs, Android) infrastructure, automation and support services for software engineering workflows.
• Support multi-cloud enablement activities and board farm management for ML software development and testing.
• Improve continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows, containerised environments and operational documentation.
• Investigate infrastructure and tooling issues, communicate findings clearly and contribute to practical solutions with the wider team.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot a pool of physical devices (Silicon boards and mobile handsets)

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience working with Linux systems and supporting engineering infrastructure.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and how they support reliable software delivery.
• Ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python or a similar scripting language.
• Experience with CI/CD or containerisation technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, and the ability to collaborate clearly with technical colleagues.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience

• Experience building or maintaining software workflows using CI/CD tools.
• Interest in computer architecture, compilers or operating systems.
• Experience with low-level programming or debugging.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal technology projects that demonstrate practical learning and problem solving.
