SoC Verification Engineer

Job Overview

Arm’s Solutions Engineering team builds subsystems and full SoC designs for a wide range of application segments, leveraging the latest IP from Arm and other vendors.

We are seeking creative and enthusiastic SoC Verification Engineers to ensure that complex SoCs function correctly across integrated components such as CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, memory controllers, and interconnects.

You will play a key role in validating the complete system operation and ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software layers to deliver high-quality silicon for our partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and verification methodologies for SoC-level designs.
• Complete functional verification to agreed quality standards and schedules, monitoring progress and quality.
• Work with project leads and management on planning, scheduling and quality checkpoints.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, implementation, modelling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA and board development teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience verifying processor-based systems using embedded C or C++, including requirements collection, test planning, testbench development, test implementation, documentation and support.
• Understanding of assembly language, proficiency in a hardware verification language such as System Verilog, and scripting skills in languages such as Tcl, Perl or Python.
• Experience with UVM and at least one of formal verification, low-power verification or emulation.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience

• Understanding of Arm system architectures and Arm assembly language.
• Experience with power-aware design and clock domain crossing verification.
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems, device drivers and hardware/software integration.
• Experience verifying subsystems and interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR, HBM, UCIe and Ethernet.
• Experience developing and deploying large SoCs on emulation or FPGA platforms.

In Return

You will work on complex SoC designs using Arm and other vendors’ IP, collaborating with specialists across hardware, software and silicon development. Your work will contribute to silicon delivered to Arm’s partners.
