Software Engineer

Job Overview

Join Arm’s software teams to develop low-level software for reference platforms and future Arm-based devices. You’ll work on open-source software that connects higher-level software stacks with the underlying hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop software stacks for Arm reference platforms targeting future Arm-based devices.
• Implement support for industry standards and the Arm architecture across open-source projects.
• Address challenges during early platform bring-up.
• Improve software quality through continuous integration (CI) systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in C programming.
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals.
• Experience developing complex, low-level software.
• Interest in open-source development.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience

• Understanding of computer architectures, particularly Arm.
• Familiarity with Linux or embedded real-time operating systems such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Familiarity with open-source projects such as Linux distributions, the Linux kernel, AOSP, TF-A, TF-M, UEFI EDK II, U-Boot or the Yocto Project.
• Experience developing operating system kernels or device drivers, particularly on Linux.
• Experience using software debuggers such as GDB.
