Join our Payments Engineering team and continue to build your expertise! We're looking for a collaborative Senior Software Engineer to help build and improve a world-class payment platform that impacts millions of users. Key Responsibilities:

Team Collaboration:

• Proactively collaborate with your team, communicating progress and helping to remove obstacles.

• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills while contributing to a supportive team culture that adopts company values.

Design & Development:

• Design small systems or processes with collaborative support, making design choices that prioritize long-term maintainability and scalability

• Actively participate in design reviews and improvement efforts, anticipating how your work affects upstream and downstream systems.

• Take ownership of the reliability of your deliverables and ensure quality and efficiency in your own work while supporting others to do the same.

Quality & Operations:

• Plan and execute validation for your systems, ensuring repeatable and traceable practices while understanding common failure points.

• Plan and execute validation for systems, utilizing repeatable and traceable practices to monitor performance and mitigate potential security or operational risks.

• Understand testing coverage and common failure points, contributing to documentation to ensure the team learns from every incident.

• Identify recurring operational issues (e.g., latency, throughput bottlenecks) and propose improvements to our cloud-native environment.

Tech Stack: RUST, RESTful APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cloud native

Required Skills:

· Experience: 5-8 years of professional software development experience.

· Domain Knowledge: A deep understanding of the business, user needs, and the technical landscape. You can learn new business logic efficiently and mentor others on our systems and practices.

· Impact & Ownership: You take ownership of your projects, solve problems independently, and have a thorough understanding of the product. You actively participate in production, review others' contributions, and have informed opinions on strategic decisions.

· Strategic Mindset: You think beyond immediate tasks, using data and insights to weigh trade-offs and align decisions with long-term goals.

· Security Focus: You have a deep understanding of security, how it affects your domain, and experience with risk assessments and mitigations.

· Team Growth: A passion for growing your team and helping them contribute to their goals.

· Experience in designing and implementing “secure-by-design" systems that include robust monitoring, reporting, and root-cause analysis to handle the distributed nature of the cloud.

· Experience with DevOps practices: Continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD), containerization (Docker,) and orchestration (k8s).

· Rust Expertise: Deep professional experience building and scaling applications using Rust.

· Cloud Native Background: Proven track record migrating applications from on-prem to cloud (AWS, Kubernetes, or similar tools).

Preferred Skills:

· Previous experience with billing, financial systems, or high-volume payment gateways.

· Experience in a formal or informal technical leadership role (Team Lead or Lead Engineer).
