Backend AEM Developer
Location: EU or Middle East (Remote)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Backend AEM Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for building robust AEM components and services that power exceptional digital experiences. We are not looking for a "cog in the machine." We are looking for a developer who takes pride in their craft, manages their own time effectively, and communicates proactively. You will be given clear requirements and the autonomy to build them-we expect you to own that responsibility without constant oversight.
Responsibilities:
- AEM Development: Develop backend logic for AEM Components, Services, and Workflows using Java, Sling, and OSGi.
- Implementation: Translate functional requirements into clean, efficient Java code and OSGi configurations.
- Unit Testing: Write meaningful Unit Tests (JUnit/Mockito) for your code to ensure reliability before it hits QA.
- Integration: Implement backend integrations with third-party APIs (REST/SOAP) based on defined architecture.
- Collaboration: Work with Frontend Developers to agree on JSON output and Sling Models before coding begins.
- Troubleshooting: Debug issues in local and hosted environments, using logs and the Felix console to identify root causes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe Certified Professional - AEM Developer.
- Experience with Cloud Manager and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of HTL/Sightly.
- English: Fluent.
Technical Stack: AEM 6.5+, AEMaaCS, Java (J2EE), Apache Sling, OSGi, Sling Models, JCR/Oak, RESTful APIs, JSON, Maven, Git, JUnit/Mockito, IntelliJ/Eclipse.
