Aristotle Space & Aeronautics Team (ASAT) is the aerospace student team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, where student members design, build and fly unmanned aircraft and rockets. Founded in November 2015 as the first aerospace student team of the university, it works through two technical departments, Aeronautics and Rocketry, alongside a marketing group, and has ranked among the top ten European student teams in both fields at international competitions. Its open member positions cover propulsion, avionics hardware and software, structures, aerodynamics, recovery systems, trajectory analysis, IT administration, graphic design and fundraising.

As an Avionics Software Engineer you will be in charge of creating the software that will run on the PCBs designed by the Avionics Subsystem, as well as data analysis code for post flight/testing purposes.

FPGA development,

Project Air-brakes,

All of the rocket projects currently running

Responsibilities:

Microcontroller Programming

Sensor/Peripherals’ Drivers building

Graphical User Interface development

Flight Code building, debugging and testing

Data Analysis

Learned Skills:

C/C++

Python

Familiarity with Embedded Systems

Matlab basic understanding

Ability to provide practical and reliable solutions

Computer Architecture basic knowledge

Basic electronics knowledge
