Job Summary

• We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the adoption and commercial growth of a digital commerce platform that enables FMCG and pharmaceutical manufacturers to streamline their sales and distribution processes.
• The platform connects manufacturers with distributors and retailers, enabling them to manage product ordering, sales transactions, payments, and related commercial activities digitally.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the sales and adoption of the digital commerce platform among FMCG and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Identify and engage key decision-makers across manufacturers, distributors, and retail networks.
• Develop new business opportunities and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
• Present and demonstrate the platform’s value proposition to prospective clients.
• Understand customers’ sales, distribution, and business-growth challenges and position the platform as an effective solution.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and customer acquisition targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and other key stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close commercial agreements.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive solutions within the digital commerce and FMCG/pharma ecosystem.
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, conversions, and revenue performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, solution sales, or technology sales.
• Proven experience selling software, SaaS, digital platforms, ERP, e-commerce, fintech, or other technology solutions to FMCG and/or pharmaceutical companies is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without direct software sales experience may be considered if they have a strong understanding of how FMCG/pharmaceutical companies analyze business growth, sales performance, distribution, customer acquisition, and route-to-market strategies.
• Good understanding of FMCG/pharma distribution, wholesale, retail, and route-to-market models.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, and problem-solving skills.
