Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef skilled in preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
- The ideal candidate will ensure excellent food quality, consistent taste, attractive presentation, and high standards of kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Indian dishes, including biryani, curries, dal, naan, roti, tandoori dishes, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
- Prepare ingredients, marinades, sauces, and spice blends using appropriate Indian cooking techniques.
- Maintain consistency in taste, food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Assist with menu planning and ensure timely meal preparation.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor ingredient stock, minimise food waste, and report supply needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to prepare a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock management.
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
- Willingness to work full-time in Ilorin.
Salary
- N120,000 – N180,000 monthly.
