Introduction to the job

In the “Enabling Functions” sector, you may not come into direct contact with our products, but with your expertise you make a significant contribution to ensuring that our company runs smoothly. Only together with colleagues from these structured, high-performing, and supportive departments-such as Human Resources, Accounting, Controlling, IT, and Communications-are we able to grow beyond ourselves and achieve our goals as a company.

The need for reliable HR data and actionable workforce insights is growing. We are looking for an energetic and hands-on HR Data Analyst who can turn complex HR data into clear insights and practical reporting solutions. You will work in a small, collaborative team across the full analytics process. The position is initially limited to two years, with the possibility that a longer-term opportunity may arise.

Role and responsibilities

In People Analytics, we turn ASML’s workforce data into actionable insights. You will combine hands-on data work with a strong understanding of stakeholder needs, balancing the development of new analytical solutions with recurring reporting activities.

As an HR Data Analyst, you will:

  • manage the end-to-end HR data analytics process, from understanding stakeholder needs and identifying relevant data sources to preparing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
  • analyze HR data on topics such as workforce capacity, talent acquisition, absences, compensation, and diversity, and translate relevant trends and patterns into clear insights, visualizations, and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • develop and maintain reports, dashboards, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses for HR and other internal stakeholders.
  • identify and implement suitable technical solutions for data preparation, analytics, reporting, and visualization, including the improvement of data flows and reporting structures.
  • improve the standardization, simplification, automation, and efficiency of HR reporting and analytics.
  • enable internal stakeholders to understand dashboards and analytical results and use the available insights effectively for their business questions.

Education and experience

  • University degree in business administration, economics, sociology, psychology, data science or another field with a strong analytical or research component.
  • Professional experience in HR analytics, HR controlling, data analytics, or a comparable field. Relevant hands-on experience gained through internships or working-student roles is also valued.
  • Experience using modern analytics technologies to prepare, connect, analyze, and visualize data. This may include Excel, Power BI, Databricks, Python, SQL, data preparation tools, and generative AI tools that support analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and an understanding of data preparation, data quality, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Fluent German and English.

Skills

To thrive in a diverse HR data environment with complex requirements and multiple stakeholders, you will need the following skills:

  • Structured and analytical approach when working with complex questions, multiple data sources, and changing requirements.
  • Problem-solving mindset and curiosity, with the persistence to test different approaches and resolve technical or data-related challenges.
  • Strong ownership and initiative, with the motivation to think end-to-end and stay engaged with a topic until a practical solution is found.
  • Clear and effective communication, with the ability to make complex data and analytical results understandable to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
  • Collaborative and reliable working style, enabling close teamwork across functions while effectively prioritizing multiple requirements.
  • Awareness of data privacy and responsible data use, with the ability to handle employee data carefully and apply relevant data protection requirements, including GDPR.
