About the Role :
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join a fast-growing FinTech product company. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Snowflake, dbt, AWS, PySpark, SQL, and modern data engineering practices and be comfortable working on scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Build and optimize data transformations using dbt and Snowflake.
- Develop data processing solutions using PySpark/Spark.
- Work with AWS cloud services to build and manage data solutions.
- Develop complex SQL queries and optimize data warehouse performance.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and error-handling processes.
- Work with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements.
- Follow best practices for data modeling, pipeline orchestration, documentation, and version control.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing data pipelines and data warehouse workloads.
Mandatory Skills :
- 3 - 6 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
- Snowflake - Mandatory
- dbt - Mandatory
- AWS - Mandatory
- PySpark / Apache Spark - Mandatory
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with Data Warehousing & Data Modeling
- Experience with Git/version control
- Good understanding of cloud-based data architecture
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Good to Have :
- Experience in FinTech / Banking / Payments / Lending domain
- AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR
- Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
- Python/Pandas
- Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience working with large-scale datasets
FinTech Product Experience :
- Experience working with a FinTech, Banking, Payments, Lending, Mortgage, or Financial Services product company will be highly preferred.
Work Location & Schedule :
- Chandigarh
- Work From Office - 5 Days a Week
Note :
- Candidates must be comfortable working from the Chandigarh office. Snowflake and dbt experience are mandatory.
