Data Engineering Lead / Architect

Job Description :

Role : Data Engineering Lead / Architect

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead / Architect with 8+ years of experience who can independently drive architecture, solution design, and hands-on development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working as an independent developer while taking ownership of data engineering architecture and design, collaborating with Business, Product, QA, and Engineering teams to build scalable analytics infrastructure and APIs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures.

- Create architecture and technical designs for modern data engineering solutions.

- Design and implement OLAP schemas for analytics and reporting workloads.

- Build and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines from databases to Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse environments.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue scripts or similar technologies.

- Work hands-on with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics solutions.

- Develop and optimize data transformation and integration pipelines.

- Work with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms to support analytics and reporting requirements.

- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

- Work closely with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to build and integrate Analytics APIs.

- Support the integration of analytics data into product widgets and customer-facing applications.

- Design and contribute to AI-based reporting and analytics infrastructure.

- Independently code, troubleshoot, optimize, and deliver production-ready data engineering solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across data engineering initiatives.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture.

- Strong understanding of Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architecture.

- Solid experience in OLAP schema design.

- Hands-on experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines.

- Strong experience with Snowflake.

- Experience with AWS Glue scripts or similar data integration technologies.

- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.

- Strong hands-on coding and data pipeline development experience.

- Very good understanding of AI-based reporting and analytics infrastructure.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business stakeholders and capture requirements.

- Experience working with cross-functional Product, QA, and Engineering teams.

- Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of architecture, design, development, and delivery.

Preferred :

- Experience building Analytics APIs and integrating analytics data into product applications/widgets.

- Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms.

- Experience designing scalable analytics platforms for business-facing products.

- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, data quality, and performance optimization.
