Assembly, a rapidly growing seed-stage meal kit and virtual event company, is hiring a Director of Marketing that will collaborate across all levels of the company’s executive, sales, customer experience, and product teams to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan leveraging a full suite of internal and external resources. Reporting to the CRO, this individual will be responsible for helping to drive the top-of-funnel investment pipeline by attracting, engaging, and converting customers in Assembly businesses. The Director of Marketing is expected to manage all aspects of the marketing function, including content marketing, email automation, PR/media outreach, earned media, analytics, lead scoring, among other tasks to communicate to decision-makers at Assembly businesses.
Measures of Marketing Success
The success of the Marketing Director will ultimately be measured by their ability to engage decision-makers at key businesses into becoming Assembly customers. Measures of success include quantitative metrics such as new customers, earned media pieces, and digital marketing engagement metrics such as email open and click-through rates, visits, content engagement, CTA interactions, and leads. Qualitative success measures for the function include Assembly's market perception within target businesses and positioning the Assembly brand as an influencer in the market.
Responsibilities
Accountable for achieving revenue and brand metrics
Develop and manage a marketing plan
Analyze and formalize brand positioning
Develop and manage a content calendar
Innovate and develop new campaigns
In collaboration with the sales team, plan/execute marketing campaigns and track engagement/conversion metrics
Spearhead content creation, including photos, videos, digital/graphic content, blog posts, and other Assembly content
Identify and secure speaking/event engagements at relevant industry events
Manage our website and social media presence
Manage third-party service providers (e.g., PR, content marketing, & design agencies)
Provide ongoing reporting on the success and business impact of marketing initiatives
Requirements
5+ years of B2B Marketing experience (ideally including marketing strategy, project management, marketing vendor management, public relations, content marketing, and SaaS experience)
Demonstrated experience developing and independently executing a comprehensive marketing plan
Brings a balance of creativity and analytics to the marketing practice
Salesforce power-user (marketing automation & demand generation experience a plus)
Strong writing, communications, and project management skills
Metrics-driven, action-oriented self-starter who proactively takes on big ideas and projects with a strong sense of urgency
Experience within the hospitality, restaurant, or corporate events industry a plus
Familiarity with and experience marketing to enterprise accounts
Brings an experienced network of third-party providers (e.g., graphic design, communications) a plus
Willing and able to start as a one-stop-shop for Marketing & Design
Experienced with long sales cycle B2B marketing
Excellent copywriting
