AI Engineer

We are looking for a talented and innovative AI Engineer to join our Project Management and Software Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, integrating, and delivering AI solutions that support business innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making. This role is focused on applying modern AI capabilities to real business problems and owning projects end-to-end. It offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of scalable and impactful AI-powered products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions, including RAG systems, assistants, agents, document processing, and speech applications.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems and services via APIs, using software development best practices.
• Evaluate and select models, providers, and frameworks for each task, balancing output quality, cost, and latency.
• Build and maintain evaluation processes for AI systems - test sets, quality metrics, and regression checks.
• Ensure production reliability: monitoring, logging, error handling, fallback strategies, and cost control.
• Research, evaluate, and implement emerging AI technologies
• Develop reusable tools, automate workflows, and contribute to deployment and CI/CD processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to AI solutions, methodologies, and system performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong programming skills in Python (FastAPI, async, Pydantic) or in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Proven experience delivering at least one LLM-based system into a production
• Solid understanding of how modern LLMs work in theory and in practice
• Hands-on experience with RAG and LLM evaluations.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Git, Docker, REST API design, and modern software development practices.
• Experience deploying and maintaining services in cloud or on-premise environments.
• Ability to run a project independently, communicate directly with business stakeholders, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Fluent Russian and Kazakh; English sufficient to read technical documentation and research confidently.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about continuous learning and AI innovation.

Experience with the following will be considered an advantage

• Agentic frameworks, tool use, and the MCP.
• Classical ML and DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn), model fine-tuning, or model interpretability tools.
• Kubernetes, MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and LLM observability tooling
• Prior experience in the financial, legal, or regulatory domain.
