Your role

You’ll take PLM requirements from initial concept and scoping through solution design, development, implementation and ongoing support.

Working closely with PLM Architects, Engineering Systems teams, IT, business stakeholders and external partners, you’ll create practical and scalable solutions that extend our PLM capabilities and connect PLM with wider enterprise systems.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across PLM, PDM, CAD, engineering data, system integration, cloud technologies and digital engineering, helping us build a more connected and scalable engineering environment across the business.

Your day-to-day

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the scoping, design, development, implementation and support of bespoke PLM solutions and integrations.
  • Translating business and engineering requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Developing applications, services, APIs and integrations that extend PLM capability.
  • Integrating PLM/PDM with CAD, ERP, manufacturing and other enterprise systems.
  • Working with PLM Architects, Engineering, IT and external development partners to deliver solutions.
  • Investigating technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust solutions.
  • Supporting testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Building solutions with maintainability, scalability, security and performance in mind.
  • Contributing to development standards, reusable components, documentation and technical best practice.
  • Evaluating new technologies and development approaches that could improve PLM capability and user experience.
  • Providing technical guidance and sharing knowledge across the PLM team.

Your skills and experience

We’re looking for someone who can operate confidently across engineering, IT and software development, understanding the business problem and taking ownership of the technical solution through to delivery.

You'll bring:

  • Strong C# and .NET development experience.
  • Experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML and JavaScript.
  • Experience developing REST APIs, applications, services and system integrations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including cloud-based applications, services and integration architectures.
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, JIRA, source control and CI/CD practices.
  • Autodesk Vault experience across both server and client environments.
  • Experience developing against the Autodesk Vault API and Fusion API.
  • Experience working with PLM/PDM or engineering systems, including engineering and CAD data.
  • Understanding of document management, revisions, workflows and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating PLM/PDM platforms with other enterprise applications.
  • An understanding of engineering processes and the challenges of managing technical data across the product lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • A practical, delivery-focused approach and a genuine interest in solving problems.
