What will you do?
- Assist with daily database operations, including monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and performance checks.
- Support the administration of MS-SQL environments, covering installation, updates, backups, restores, and Commvault.
- Apply security and compliance best practices, such as access control, encryption, and GDPR guidelines.
- Participate in deployments, migrations, and small-scale technical changes within database systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and operational procedures for database management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance database efficiency.
What are we looking for?
At Aubay, our focus is on professionals who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset:
- 2+ years of professional experience as an MS-SQL DBA or in a similar technical role.
- Good understanding of MS-SQL Server fundamentals, including queries, indexes, backups, and monitoring.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments, with scripting experience (PowerShell is a plus).
- Familiarity with MS-SQL within an AZURE environment.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow expertise in database administration, coupled with an ability to analyze issues and follow structured troubleshooting steps.
- Knowledge of high-availability features (AlwaysOn, clustering) and Oracle databases is considered an advantage.
