About the role
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. Your role will involve assisting in implementing features, fixing issues, and learning programming best practices to support the team’s objectives. You will collaborate with colleagues to understand project requirements, deliver structured code, and participate in code reviews to improve code quality and absorb feedback. You will support testing and debugging processes to ensure software reliability while learning to work with cloud-based tools, APIs, and frameworks.
This role is based in Madrid in a hybrid remote setup.
What will you be doing?
- Developing software components under the supervision of senior engineers, adhering to functional requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable code following team guidelines and company best practices.
- Participate in software testing processes, identify bugs, and assist in resolving issues.
- Contribute to the development of cloud-based API components and microservices with guidance from senior engineers.
- Seek technical guidance and feedback from senior team members to improve coding and problem-solving skills.
- Follow team priorities and contribute to task completion within established timelines.
- Solve well-defined technical problems with support from experienced engineers.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments, such as product teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Communicate openly with team members and stakeholders, asking questions to clarify requirements.
- Actively participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Learn from code reviews and feedback to improve technical proficiency.
- Share knowledge with peers through documentation or informal discussions.
- Communicate openly with local and remote team members under guidance.
- Focus on learning new technologies and tools to expand technical capabilities.
What are we looking for?
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
- Willingness to learn software architecture basics and product development workflows.
- Orientation toward task automation to save time and effort.
- Implementation of improvements and optimizations in daily operations.
- Familiarity with deployment processes and ability to assist in deployments.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with guidance from the team.
- Knowledge of C# programming language and familiarity with additional languages is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and interest in learning DevOps practices.
- Basic awareness of cloud platforms and willingness to learn cloud infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of design patterns.
- Proactive attitude toward learning from code reviews, documentation, and mentorship.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting well-defined technical issues.
- English at a communicative level.

Clear and transparent compensation plan. The salary range goes from 23,000 € to 30,000 €. We will discuss the indicated range with you in the first recruiting call to ensure that we are on the same page.
