We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain secure, scalable backend services within our Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain. In this role, you'll own the design, development, and delivery of well-defined backend components and APIs, working closely with product, QA, and DevOps to ship reliable, secure features. You'll bring strong Java/Spring Boot engineering fundamentals, with growing exposure to modern identity standards and practices.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs supporting identity and access management capabilities, using Java and Spring Boot. 
• Develop and document APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) that meet agreed performance, security, and reliability standards within owned scope. 
• Integrate and support messaging systems (e.g., JMS, Solace, ActiveMQ) for service communication and event processing. 
• Apply secure coding and API security practices, including OAuth2 and JWT, to protect services and data within owned components. 
• Build and maintain automated unit and integration test coverage (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) for owned components, improving maintainability over time. 
• Containerize services using Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for reliable, repeatable deployments. 
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end features within committed timelines. 
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning, incorporating feedback to improve code quality and reduce rework. 
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues for owned services, working to maintain availability and performance. 
• Build working knowledge of identity standards and practices (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, WebAuthn/Passkeys) to inform sound technical decisions within assigned work. 

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
• 6-9 years of backend software engineering experience, with demonstrated delivery in Java and Spring Boot environments. 
• Hands-on experience building and documenting RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger). 
• Experience with Java messaging systems (JMS, Solace, ActiveMQ, or equivalent). 
• Working knowledge of secure coding practices and API security protocols (OAuth2, JWT). 
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and contributing to CI/CD pipelines. 
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) for unit and integration testing. 
• Exposure to identity provider platforms (e.g., Keycloak) and modern identity standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, WebAuthn/Passkeys) is an advantage. 
• Familiarity with secure identity lifecycle practices (registration, MFA, credential recovery, session management) is an advantage. 
• Comfortable collaborating across product, QA, and DevOps functions in a hybrid working environment.
