Senior Project Engineer
Since its spin-off in September 2025 AUMOVIO continues the business of the former Continental group sector Automotive as an independent company. The Project Manager role is that of an entrepreneur within the organization, leading one or more projects with OEM partners and taking full ownership of project delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring that projects are executed on time, within R&D and manufacturing budgets, and in compliance with quality standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary interface between the customer and AUMOVIO, driving customer satisfaction while ensuring the economic success of the project and the long-term profitability of the product throughout its lifecycle.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Project definition and planning:
- Setup an initial project plan in accordance with the business areas valid processes (phases, deliverables, milestones/ Q-Gates, etc.)
- Manage project scope, budget, timing, and quality targets
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Establish adequate project organization (meeting structure, information/ knowledge exchange, documentation, archiving)
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize operations
- Ensure compliance to the business areas processes
Steer execution and control project:
- Track the project progress, define corrective measures of deviating from the plan
- Control released project budget and project resources per approved project plan
- Report the project status using the valid tool and process set
- Drive risk management and change management activities
- Escalate issues if necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Experience in project management within the automotive industry
- Knowledge of OEM structures and product development processes
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Fluency English
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
