The Role:
As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of mechanical systems that enable warehouse automation and customer operations. During this 4 to 6-month co-op experience, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain practical experience developing components and systems used in advanced automation technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals to real-world product development challenges while building technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Create and update 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Support prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical system issues.
Assist with engineering calculations, design evaluations, and product improvements.
Support reliability, performance, and durability testing efforts.
Collaborate with software, electrical, manufacturing, and field engineering teams on integrated solutions.
Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
Document test results, design changes, and engineering findings.
Follow engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Eligible to participate in a 4 to 6-month full-time co-op program.
Completed coursework in mechanics, machine design, materials, manufacturing, or related subjects.
Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Inventor, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Must not require visa support to work in the USA
