The Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer I you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of mechanical systems that enable warehouse automation and customer operations. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help develop innovative mechanical solutions, support product development activities, and gain hands-on experience with automation technologies used in real-world customer environments.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is eager to learn, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to the development of highly reliable automation systems.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, and validation of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Support prototype development, assembly, and testing activities.
Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of mechanical issues.
Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and field engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Assist with product verification, reliability testing, and design improvement initiatives.
Apply engineering principles and established design standards to solve technical challenges.
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on product performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve products and processes.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or professional experience.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and machine design.
Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, NX, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with engineering calculations and analysis techniques.
Exposure to prototype development, laboratory testing, or mechanical system validation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
