Awiros is a Series A-funded deep-tech organization (~$7M raised) building the world’s first app-based Operating System for Computer Vision. Founded in 2015, we enable developers and enterprises to build, deploy, and scale AI-powered applications for real-world use cases.

Our platform powers real-time video and image inference, distributed processing, and high-throughput data handling, using technologies including TensorFlow, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.

At Awiros, we’re taking Computer Vision from models and research to real-world, large-scale deployments.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for an SDET with a developer-oriented mindset - someone who enjoys writing code, solving problems independently, and finding ways to automate things that would otherwise require repetitive manual effort.

The role is primarily focused on automation and testing across our AI/CV products. You’ll write scripts, build automation, test CV models, benchmark performance, explore integrations, and develop tools that help us test faster and at scale.

You don’t need to be a traditional QA engineer. What matters is that you can think like a developer, write code independently, and approach testing as an engineering problem.

You’ll work like a developer, think like a tester, and automate like a power tool.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

• Write scripts and automation to test applications, APIs, services, and platform features.
• Test and benchmark AI/CV models across different datasets and environments for accuracy, performance, latency, and robustness.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks to make testing faster, more reliable, and less dependent on manual effort.
• Explore new integrations - including edge devices, cloud services, and deployments - and understand their behaviour and impact on the overall system.
• Act as a first point of contact for integration testing and help identify issues, edge cases, and failure scenarios.
• Develop tools, scripts, and utilities to simulate real-world scenarios, workloads, and system conditions.
• Explore AI-driven approaches and new ideas to improve testing coverage, efficiency, and scale.
• Identify repetitive or manual testing processes and turn them into reusable, automated workflows.
• Work closely with SDEs to understand new features, improve testability, and debug issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing infrastructure, migrations, and automated functional, performance, reliability, and stress testing.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong programming/scripting skills.
• Ability to independently write scripts and utilities to solve practical problems.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, debugging, and logical problem-solving.
• A developer-oriented mindset - you enjoy building tools, automating repetitive work, and figuring out how things work under the hood.
• Curiosity and an instinct for finding edge cases, breaking systems, and improving how things are tested.
• Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with engineering teams.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Python + Selenium or experience with any automation framework.
• Exposure to AI/ML/Computer Vision, model benchmarking, datasets, or evaluation metrics.
• Familiarity with Linux, Git, APIs, and CI/CD.
• Experience writing test scripts, automation utilities, or internal tools.
• Exposure to PyTest or similar testing frameworks.
