Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack Backend focus)

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack with backend focus)to join our team and help build cutting-edge applications that transform the financial markets. Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development:Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• API Development:Develop and maintain secure, well-structured RESTful APIsand integrations that enable seamless communication between internal systems, frontend applications, and third-party services.
• System Architecture:Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, building systems that can scale as the platform, customer base, and transaction volumes grow.
• Database Development:Design efficient data models, queries, and storage solutions using relational or NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Cloud Infrastructure:Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWSor similar platforms, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and effective monitoring.
• AI Integration:Develop and integrate AI-powered features into software applications. Experience building AI tools or leveraging AI to improve development workflows is highly beneficial.
• Frontend Contribution:Contribute to frontend development using Reactand Next.jswhen required, supporting the delivery of complete end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborative Development:Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and continuously improve the platform.
• Project Ownership:Take ownership of features and services throughout the entire development lifecycle-from concept and technical design to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Performance & Reliability:Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve the performance, resilience, and observability of backend systems.
• Security & Code Quality:Write clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code while following modern development standards, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving engineering practices.
• Stakeholder Communication:Clearly communicate technical solutions, progress, risks, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ Years of Experience:Minimum five years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Backend Expertise:Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, RESTful APIs, and modern backend architecture.
• Database Experience:Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modelling, query optimisation, and performance considerations.
• Cloud Services:Experience deploying and managing applications in AWSor similar cloud environments.
• Scalable Systems:Strong understanding of system design, distributed applications, API security, application performance, testing, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
• Frontend Knowledge:Experience with Reactand Next.js, with the ability to contribute across the full stack when needed.
• AI Integration:Experience integrating AI technologies into software products or using AI tools to improve engineering productivity is highly valued.
• Fintech Experience:Previous experience within Forex trading, financial technology, payment systems, or trading platforms is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong Social Skills:Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Time & Project Management:Proven ability to prioritise work, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.
