SAP Test Lead

Role : SAP Test Lead

Key Responsibilities :

Planning & Coordination :

- Coordinate and maintain the Test Plan for each wave in partnership with workstream teams, covering multiple SIT cycles ITC1, ITC2, Security SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing milestones

- Facilitate alignment on testing entry and exit criteria, test data volume assumptions, and environment readiness across all workstreams

- Track and communicate testing activities against the overall program plan and wave deployment schedule

- Coordinate the Security SIT cycle, ensuring roles and authorizations are validated in QAS after functional configuration and before UAT entry

- Reinforce testing principles across workstream teams: business-driven validation, defect resolution before phase progression, and formal sign-off at each quality gate

Cross-Workstream Tracking & Visibility :

- Track progress across all testing phases (ITC1, ITC2, ITC3 for Waves 2 & 3, UAT, Regression) for each wave, flagging risks and blockers to Finance Domain Lead

- Monitor defect resolution rates across workstreams, ensuring P1/P2 defects are resolved before UAT entry (- 95% target) and UAT pass rates meet the - 98% threshold

- Coordinate test data readiness across mock migration cycles, ensuring data loads are aligned to testing phase requirements

- Track external partner integration testing (ITC3 for Waves 2 & 3), coordinating with Salesforce, Bloomberg, Ariba, SuccessFactors, and other third-party teams

- Maintain and update the centralized testing tracker and defect log, ensuring real-time visibility into test execution status, open defects, and wave readiness across all workstreams

- Monitor regression testing activities to ensure global configuration changes do not impact the live US S/4HANA instance

Governance & Reporting :

- Compile and present testing progress statistics for Steering Committee updates and PMO reporting

- Maintain the Testing RAID log, tracking risks, actions, issues, and decisions across all workstreams

- Ensure all testing activities, defects, and sign-offs are logged and traceable in JIRA as the single source of truth

- Coordinate workstream and business sign-off on Test Evidence documents and UAT Sign-off at each phase milestone

- Track quality gate readiness for each wave's Go/No-Go decision, ensuring all criteria are met prior to production cutover

Stakeholder Coordination :

- Serve as the day-to-day coordination point between Finance Technology Domain Lead and functional workstream teams (Finance/FICO, OTC, P2P, HR/Payroll, Security, Analytics, MDG)

- Coordinate with the Finance UAT team (Users across R2R, O2C, P2P, FA/Lease/ Project, ) to ensure UAT scripts are prepared, reviewed, and executed on schedule

- Partner closely with workstream leads (Platforms - BASIS/Security RICEFW, Data Migration, OTC) to align testing scope with development and migration readiness

- Coordinate with the testing tool vendor (Qyrus) and testing consultants to track tool readiness and automation coverage

- Support knowledge transfer activities to ensure workstream teams can independently manage testing cycles post-handover

Required Qualifications :

- 15+ years of experience in SAP testing coordination or test management, with exposure to at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration preferably in ECC to S/4 migration.

- Solid understanding of SAP testing phases (SIT/ITC, UAT, Regression) and quality gate criteria sufficient to track progress and identify risks

- Familiarity with SAP test environments (Dev, QAS, UAT/Pre-Prod, Production) and the relationship between data migration mock loads and testing cycles

- Strong understanding of defect management processes and entry/exit criteria for each testing phase

- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple cross-functional teams - including IT, business users, and third-party vendors - in a large, complex program environment

- Strong project management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and Steering Committees

- Proficiency with JIRA, SmartSheets, and Google Workspace for tracking and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations at scale (100+ company codes, 50+ countries)

- Familiarity with AI-driven test automation tools (e.g., Qyrus, or equivalent SAP testing platforms)

- Understanding of SOX-compliant testing requirements and SDLC controls for financial system implementations

- Knowledge of SAP Fiori UX testing and role/authorization validation (SoD)
