Looking for an opportunity to bring your ability to make an impact to an organization? Due to an promotion we are looking for our next star employee to join the Precoat Metals team as a Technical Services Manager. You will bring your accuracy with details, negotiation, customer service, critical thinking & analytical acumen along with previous coil coating or related industry experience and work closely with both internal & external customers, vendors & suppliers to facilitate the success of existing & future business. This position will be based at our Greenfield, IN plant.
As one of our successful Technical Services Managers, you will interface with customers on a daily basis and ensure appropriate and timely resolution for claims by working with suppliers, customers and the plant. You will bring your collaborative style to this role and
- Partner with plant management and personnel to:
o Eliminate claims
o Drive process improvement
o Improve customer satisfaction
o Improve product performance in the field
- Be present on line for key runs as they relate to customer matters.
- Work hand in hand with plant personnel to initiate & document corrective actions.
- Perform field Inspections, evaluate alternatives, and develop solutions to address situations.
- Coordinate field refinishes with suppliers, contractors, customers & end users.
- Work with Tech Services Coordinator on claims administration which includes
o Tracking in AS400
o Lab review and analysis
o Research of production
o Disposition
o Accounting and accruals
o Timely response to the customer
- Initiate, drive and support claims problem solving.
- Monitor and analyze plant metrics on claims and claims improvement projects.
As the selected and successful candidate you will bring with you to Precoat Metals the following:
- Associates degree or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school preferred.
- 3 - 5 years coil coating or related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Green Belt Certified preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures and work instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated PC literacy with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office package and mainframe programs such as AS400 and/or similar product
- Good organizational skills
- Able to prioritize tasks and focus on the critical items
- Able to recognize when priorities shift and flexible enough to accommodate it.
- Ability to multi task
- Travel up to 50%
