Job Description:
You will be responsible for leadingand delivering complexSimulation and Training programmes involving multiple major systems, disciplines, platforms, equipment, software products, or technology solutions. This includes overseeing the integration and managementof multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensuring the successful delivery of work packages, new product development, and complexupgrades while managinginterfaces with customers, suppliers, and/or partners.
You are also accountable for meeting contractual and customer commitments relating to cost, quality, schedule, and technical performance. You will drive solution development and system integration, applying and tailoring engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to deliver innovative solutions. As a recognised Subject Matter Expert, you are expected to provide deep technical leadershipand engineering expertiseacross projects, programmes, and contracts.
Core duties:
- You will leadand manageengineering staff or business partnerships/ sub-contracts
- You will ensure developed solutions are clearly defined, integrated, configured, controlled and delivered, including resolution of conflicts and integration issues that occur through development and delivery phases
- You will perform appropriate engineering planning, managementand review activities to ensure Products are integrated, safe, fully compliant and delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time and schedule
- You will assure the maturity of the developed solutions is appropriate for the specific requirement and that all technical risks and opportunities are captured
- You will interface and influence internal and external (customer and other stakeholders) such that product offerings meet requirements and specifications
Essential Skills:
- You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer or have the ability to be able to achieve CEng in the short term
- You will be a SMEin an engineering discipline, showcased by provendelivery of major systems and projects
- You will have experience with projects, programmes and contracts, the ability to understand business and customer requirements will be demonstrated through excellent communication & stakeholder managementskills
- You will bring leadershipskills to the role
